We are looking for a Dispersion Analyst to help support requests on performing a detailed RADTRAD analysis of a Loss of Coolant Accident (LOCA) event for our PWR-20 nuclear power plant, evaluating the radiological consequences to assess compliance with regulatory safety limits and ensure adequate protection of public health.

RADTRAD Model Development

·        Develop a RADTRAD (or equivalent) model tailored to the PWR-20's specific characteristics.

·        Model the radionuclide transport and dose consequences considering the release from the reactor core, containment leakage, and deposition.

Scenario Analysis

·        Simulate the radiological release and transport during the LOCA event.

·        Model the impact of containment integrity, filtration systems, and engineering safety factors on reducing offsite radiation doses.

·        Perform dose calculations at the site boundary and within emergency planning zones.

·        Scenarios:

·        Primary containment to ancillary tanks

·        Including and not including gap release fractions (aka our in-vessel quantities included or not based off our mitigating strategies)

·        Release fractions to gap and vary on 25%, 50%, 75%, 100%

Documentation & Reporting

·        Prepare a comprehensive report detailing the input assumptions, analysis results, and regulatory compliance conclusions.

Present key findings, safety margins, and recommendations for risk mitigation, if necessary.
