GIS Technician 2024-494 HAINC-CF

Position Purpose:
Provide support to the IEC Environmental Restoration GIS Lead in the preparation of maps and figures for inclusion in reports, plans, and other regulatory deliverables; assist in the development and maintenance of maps and GIS project data sets, and performing GIS system maintenance and editing tasks.
Minimum Qualification Requirements (Education/Experience):
Qualifications
•Four-year degree in GIS, geospatial technologies, or related field
•2-4 years of experience using GIS in a professional setting
Experience
•Proficient in producing maps in Arc GIS Desktop and ArcGIS Pro
•Experience using a wide variety of GIS software tools
•Experience editing GIS data with a high degree of accuracy
Special Requirements/Training (Optional):
Preferred Skills and Experience
•Skills and experience with cartographic design
•Understanding of coordinate systems
•Ability to identify problems and work in a team environment to find solutions
•Able to work with established workflows and manage multiple tasks
•Use and knowledge of GPS and field surveying
