Engineer, Nuclear Criticality Safety Analyses 2024-391-HAINC-CF

We are seeking a Nuclear Criticality Safety Analyst to perform analyses and evaluations and/or chemical dose donsequence calculations.
Duties:
- Candidate will be utilized to perform Nuclear Criticality Safety Analyses and Evaluations and/or Chemical Dose Consequence calculations.
- Candidate will participate in facility walkdowns, group training activities, and will work as a staff augmented member of the Design Safety Basis organization. Candidate will support process hazards analyses and perform Integrated Safety Analysis impact evaluations, and other tasks as agreed, generally working in the areas of design safety basis. Being previously qualified as a criticality safety engineer is required.
- Candidate needs past experience performing such calculations and utilizing various modelling software similar to RASCAL or ALOHA.
- Candidate will support the overall mission of the facilities design safety program for both operational activities in addition to the development of new design safety basis for future projects. Contractor should have experience with documented safety analyses analysis (DOE-STD-3009) or Integrated Safety Analysis (10 CFR 70).
- Candidate will participate in facility walkdowns, group training activities and will work as a staff augmented member of the Design Safety Basis organization.
- Candidate will support process hazards analyses and perform Integrated Safety Analysis impact evaluations, and other agreed to tasks generally working in the areas of design safety basis.
- Candidate is ideally a Chemical Engineer or an engineer with chemical dose experience.
Duration: Minimum of 3 (three), up to 12 (twelve) months.
Location: Hybrid position, remote, with onsite travel for 2-3 weeks at a time. Candidate will work frequently onsite and can work remotely part time.
