We are seeking an Emergency Communications Engineer.


 


This position will serve as a Fire Alarm/Emergency Communications Engineer with demonstrated subject matter expertise with industrial Fire alarms and detection, Emergency Communications, Public Address and Mass Notification requirements.


  


Responsibilities:



  • Provide technical direction, guidance and demonstrated expertise in the development and implementation of the Fire Detection and Alarm System designs and Emergency Communications designs.

  • Develop and implement effective fire detection designs for compliance with fire codes, standards, and regulations.

  • Develop and implement effective Emergency Communications designs for compliance with codes, standards, and regulations.

  • Apply working knowledge of National Fire Protection Association Codes, IBC, ISA, and IEEE regulatory requirements to site facilities.



Availability to work fully local in Fluor’s Sugarland TX office.

Required Qualifications :


  • Degree in Fire Detection, Electrical or Audio Engineering, or a related Engineering field (Associates or BS) a plus, and may offset some required years of experience. 

  • 10+ years of cumulative relevant experience.

  • NICET Level II (or higher) certification in the applicable subfield.

  • Experience in use of AlarmCad or similar application for Fire Alarm Design

  • Experience with National Fire Protection Association (NFPA), IBC, ISA, and IEEE codes and standards.

  • Experience in 2D Microstation or AutoCAD drawing, S3D Modeling, or Revit Modeling for preparing detailed design deliverables and design packages
