HukariAscendent is a Service-Disabled, Veteran-Owned, Small Business specializing in comprehensive engineering and technical support services associated with commercial nuclear power and Department of Energy (DOE) nuclear activities.
We are looking for a civil structural Analyst to perform a=advanced structural analyses of various structures to validate their design adequacy for normal operation and accident loading conditions. Advanced structural analytical capabilities include the ability to perform the following: Seismic Soil Structure Interaction (SSI); dynamic seismic analysis (response spectra and time-history); development of in-structure seismic response spectra, and to evaluate structural responses for tornado winds, missile penetration, precipitation (rain, flood, snow), and explosion (blast/detonation and deflagration).
Individual at times will be required to travel off site to interface with vendors, fabricators, and other Engineering organizations.
Engineering services will be provided using SRR processes and procedures. Programmatic guidance will be provided by SRR.

Required Qualifications :
Education:
- MS Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering
- BS Degree in Civil Structural Engineering and current registration as a Professional Engineer in either civil or Structural Engineering.
Experience/Skills:
- Candidate must demonstrate a minimum of eight (8) years experience in the design and analysis of nuclear or industrial facilities.
- Candidate must demonstrate a working knowledge of STAAD, ANSYS, ABAQUS, SASSI, DYNA3D or similar computer codes.
- Candidate must demonstrate sound working knowledge of National Code Standards such as IBC, AISC (ASD, LFRD, & N690), ASCE, ACI (318 & 349).
- Candidate must have the ability to perform field walk-downs of structural systems.
Hours: A 40-hour work week is scheduled. SRS utilizes various work schedules; including 5/8s (8 hours/day; five days per week), 4/10s (10 hours/day; four days per week), and 9/80s (9 hours/day, five days on week A and 4 days on week B). Work week excluded SRR holidays. Each week has a 30-min lunch.
